Orthopaedic Surgery

Surgical techniques are advancing at an amazing rate, with veterinary knowledge doubling on average every 5-8 years.

With this in mind, Pets'n'Vets has made a determined effort to stay up to speed with the progress of veterinary medicine, and has invested in the equipment and skills to treat those injuries.

Surgery is one area of medicine that has progressed rapidly over the last 5-15 years, with the development of a number of techniques, such as external fixation, to fix fractures that are otherwise not treatable.

Fractures require assessed prior to surgery, and a number of factors requirte taken into account.

We would hope that these type of injuries never happens to your pet, but they do so you can be assured that we will give you the best possible advice for the treatment of your pets injury, or disease.

NOTE: The picture above shows Rush pin fixation of a distal femoral fracture.
