Susan Geary

Susan GearySusan joined the Pets’n’Vets team in May 2010. She graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2004 with a Merit award in Small Animal Clinical Studies. She spent her first year in practice working in Cheshire where she developed an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. She soon became homesick for Scotland and returned north of the border to work in Ayrshire until moving back to live in Glasgow in 2010.

Susan has a particular interest in surgery, responsible breeding practices, and the management of canine and feline osteoarthritis.

At home, Susan is owned by four Bengal cats (2 boys and 2 girls). She breeds a litter or two each year and attends local cat shows when she is able. She is very proud of her girls who have both won several Best of Breed and 1st class rosettes. In any spare time she has, Susan enjoys reading novels, running in the park (but not in the rain!), and keeping fit at the gym.

Susan hit the news headlines in September 2012, when she successfully carried out an operation on a beagle who had eaten half a kilo of needle sharp metal at home.
