Scottish SPCA

The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Scottish SPCA) is Scotland's animal welfare charity. Our objectives are to prevent cruelty to animals and encourage kindness and humanity in their treatment.


World Wildlife Fund

WWF-UK is the UK arm of the WWF Network, the world’s leading environmental organisation founded in 1961 and now active in over 100 countries. Using our unique combination of practical experience, knowledge and credibility, our 300-strong staff work with governments, businesses and communities both here in the UK and around the world so that people and nature thrive within their fair share of the planet’s natural resources. In 2007/8 we spent £42m on our work; most of our income comes from our dedicated members and supporters.


Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Trust

Hessilhead cares for Scotland's injured and orphaned wildlife The centre is situated near Beith in North Ayrshire. It occupies a 20 acre site, including woodland, marsh and open water. This gives a variety of release sites for our patients. Facilities at the Centre include an intensive care unit, a swan/seal hospital with indoor pool, a hedgehog unit, a surgery with x-ray equipment and more than 60 outdoor aviaries, enclosures and release pens. The centre operates a 24 hour emergency service.


Dogs Trust

Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust, formerly known as the NCDL, has always campaigned on dog-welfare related issues to ensure a safe and happy future for our four-legged friends.


Catflap

CATFLAP is a small Glasgow based charity dedicated to cat welfare and is run by 5 Trustees. The charity was started in 1997 with the following aims · To find suitable permanent homes for homeless cats · To re-unite lost cats with their owners · To provide short-term emergency accommodation for cats in need · To assist with veterinary expenses in cases of genuine hardship


Cats Protection League

Formed in 1927, Cats Protection has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now rehome and reunite 55,500 cats and kittens every year, through our network of over 250 voluntary-run branches and 29 adoption centres.
