Calling all mature, senior and super-senior cat carers!
Pets'n'Vets are launching an “ageing“ cat clinics for patients 7 years and older.
Why are we running them?
Our older feline friends are very prone to getting underlying diseases as they age and they’re very good at hiding them!
These include:
- Chronic kidney disease
- Hyperthyroidism
- High blood pressure
- Osteoarthritis
We often see these patients first present in the clinic a more advanced stage of the disease. Frequent weight checks and screening for these conditions, means we can treat them earlier and improve your pet’s quality of life.
What do they include?
- Nurse consultation
- Weight check
- Blood pressure
- Comprehensive blood screen
- Urine concentration and dipstick testing
Results will be reported within 7 days, by the vet who referred your cat for the tests, or by our cat crazy vet Charlotte!
How much does it cost?
The cost for our Ageing Cat Clinics is £150.
How often are these clinics recommended?
Mature: 7-11 years - 1 yearly
Senior: 11-15 years - 1-2 yearly
Super senior: >15 years - 2x yearly .
